I forgot to update my post. You can order just the puck that mounts to the boat deck from MinnKota. Makes it a snap to move between boats.

ok, I am looking at buying a 20 to 24 ft pontoon boat set up with fishing seats in front and back....does anyone currently have a pontoon with an ipilot system....and what pounds of thrust do you have ....what would you change if anything....

I've got 20 ft pontoon with 80# thrust does fine but if I had a chance I'd put the 101# on just so I had the extra in emefgency

Fish out of a 20 that belongs to a friend. Has 80 lb and does a good job even in the wind. I'm like CG1 though if it was me and buying new I would opt for the 101. Much more efficient and plenty of power for not many dollars more.

Ok thanks 101 it is....it's only money couldn't be more than another $1 per fish I will catch in the next 5 years!!!

JUST GOT IPILOT LINK WITH A TERROVA 80, AND IT WILL NOT CONNECT WITH 898C. I POWERED UP IPILOT FIRST THAN THE 898 AND EVEN WAITED 10 MIN. BUT STILL NO CONNECTION. I made the connection direct to the unit, even made the connection direct to Ipilot leaving out the ethernet extension. I've also upgraded from 6.49 to 6.74. The 898c and the Minn Kota work fine otherwise but the 898 will not connect to the Ipilot link. Talked to both Minn Kota and Humminbird and neither has seen this problem before. Just wondering if anyone has any ideal what the problem might be.

I have the terrova 80 and love it. But my remote quit working,I thought that the batteries may have went dead in the remote,so i put new ones it. Still nothing. any help would be greatly appreciated. I am about to pull my hair out and am going fishing in the morning.
