    Default Another Weave Jig

This one is 1/60 Oz. and it as well as the last weave and one other collar jig is going to a friend today. He fly fishes and we chat on a pipe/tobacco board and he gets these. I have one of his pie stands he makes so now he will have a few of what I make. Send him a couple already, but this one is part surprise.

No dry fly hackle Bob, it's soft hackle from a Coq De Leon speckles. I have some birds like this that are laced feathers too, but this one was speckled which I have several of the speckled too and like them as well. I have used them for tailed too.

Like here is a Chart Speckled one (under a Black Light)...

And a Laced type (regular light).

Nicely done Skip. I really like the second one under black light. Top one skeet is right the bream are going to jump on that one. He will have to tie that one on behind a tree.

Thanks guys! I really like doing this weave thing because it lolls like a worm or something like that. I want to try a few others as well just to see which I like best. I also have a nice pattern for a catalpa, but have not done it yet. I figure since that worm is such a great bait it has to do well as a fly!

This is nice Skip. What is this weave called. I've been doing my research, gonna try some weave ties this weekend.

Actually is that the Granny Weave?

Also, love those speckled and laced feathers

Yes that is the Granny Weave, I have some different ones on my website too. FAOL has all these weaves in lessons and lots of other good info, just takes time to read a lot and look through all their stuff over there. The Granny Weave is pretty easy even though all that kind of stuff is in the advanced lessons.

The feathers your talking about come on the skin and I do have a bunch of them. Send me a PM if interested!
