Default Truman Lake RV parks - Missouri

    Hi guys.

Just wanted to run a little PSA.
Those of you familiar with Truman Lake in Missouri know it's jam packed full of fish. It's also our largest lake with tons of wide open water, even on Independence day and other holidays.
The lake is unique in that the Army Corps of Engineers owns all of the surrounding land. There are 5 full service marinas with restaurants and countless campgrounds.
What the lake does not have are lake houses and private docks. This presents a challenge with a very different and affordable solution.

Seasonal RV parks - Many of you have seen them. Truman Lake boasts parks of all shapes and sizes. Some are very sterile while others appear to host every redneck from 6 counties. One may be quiet and reserved while the next is like 'grannies gone wild' on Saturday night.

They all have many things in common:
    • community
    • affordability ~$1800 annually (about the same as storage in the city)
    • relaxing - no weekly travel and set up or take down.
    • site customization (covers, decks, sheds, patio/furniture)
    • boat storage
    • it's someone's special place

Most of us with campers go to the same places over and over with the exception of a few trips (if we're lucky). Would you use your camper more if you could take off in the minivan and it was already set up with a cold beverage waiting for you upon arrival? Maybe your wife would like to bring friends but doesn't want to trailer it? An RV park might be for you. Turn your camper into a low maintenance, low cost lake house.

Maybe you don't have a camper. A new ~30ft trailer that sleeps 6-9 could be yours for about $250 a month. Clinton is home to two popular RV dealers. (they deliver too)

Next time the weather is too poor to fish, take a drive, check out the RV parks. Maybe you'll find the right one for you.

My park is small and family owned and family oriented. It's open and airy with amazing sunsets and big bright night skies. We're on a main road, but away from the noise. Our sites are set away from trees protecting you and your camper from ticks, squirrels, & snakes, plus leaves, mildew, and camper rot. We live on site and are selective in who we choose as campers insuring all of us enjoy the Lake Life.
We do not allow anyone to live here as a primary residence.

Did I mention we're about equidistant to 3 major ramps and Wal-Mart and restaurants?
