Do you have a simple calculation for determining needed ah capacity that we could use as everyone’s rigs are set up uniquely?
For example, very windy day and I have to use highest setting on 70# 24v trolling motor and its an 8 hr day, do I need 320 ah available to me, as I think my amperage is in the mid 40’s on high?
I just don’t want to be under sized or out of power if caught in less than desired conditions. Thanks again.
Lithiums are over 50% lighter in weight, they charge much faster, 2-3x the power based on AGM losses (See post above)

Typically a 12v-100Ah Starting battery. would power a boat utilizing up to 4 12" units with accessories. For trolling systems we have found that 80Ah will power a boat easily for a full daylight to dark day.

We sponsor a lot of Bassmaster pros and they all run (2) of our 36v-40Ah batteries in parallel on the trolling side and a 12v-100Ah on the cranking side

Minnkota motors can only run for short periods over 80%, i think its 40 seconds or something like that. But with mine, 8 with lithium is faster than 100% with lead acid ever was. And on rabbit-go-fast mode i get about 0.9mph faster than previous batteries.

With my boat (17' deep v) and 24v minnkota, i can troll at 1.5mph (on 3) for 8 hours and still be at 89-90% charge with lithium 50Ah ionics.

When trolling/pulling baits constantly you could need more than 80Ah, however I would try it first to see the performance. Again if you have an AGM bank that is 150Ah the usable capacity its actually 75Ah or less depending on temps

We can install up to (4) of our units in parallel so with the 36v battery you could have a system with 160Ah

Impulse Lithium and Kevin22, thank you for your responses! I’m headed to your site to do some more looking/shopping. Again, thank you both for your input.

I’m all in but need more info. My uncle has a pontoon boat with a 36v terrova. What set up does he need? He pulls cranks exclusively.

I would run (2) 36v-40Ah batteries in Parallel. He will get great runtime with this system. Also pair it with our charge on the run charger.

I will put the 2 links below, one is the combo with the charge on the run, the other is just the second battery

36v 40Ah Platinum Series Lithium Battery DC Combo - Impulse Lithium

36v 40Ah Platinum Series LiFePO4 Lithium Battery - Impulse Lithium
