    Default Learn How To Spider-rig

    Hey Crappie.com friends.

Through my Fishing Creek Ventures Guide Service, I'm currently offering a one-day trip for one person at a time. I calling it "Spider-Rigging 101". Spend the day fishing with me and I will share with you all the tips on set-up, techniques and tricks for spider-rigging for crappie that I have learned over 50 years of doing it both recreationally and professionally. The cost is $250 for a 7hr day of fishing. I furnish all the tackle, bait, boat, etc that's needed. All you will need to bring is your own food/snacks/drinks and clothing appropriate for the weather. I'm currently catching quality crappie using the spider-rigging technique on Dale Hollow Lake. Come join me on a trip and you can learn how to make the most of this awesome way of catching crappie! I look forward to a trip with you!
    Thanks, Capt. Steve Spitzer

The KY portion of Dale Hollow is near Albany, KY. I live just outside of Somerset on Fishing Creek/Lake Cumberland and it is about a one hour drive for me. It's true that both Tennessee and Kentucky share the lake (which the largest portion being in Tennessee, but there is a portion of the lake that is under a reciprocal agreement between the two states so that a fishing license from either state makes you legal in that part of the lake. You can google "reciprocal license area/ Dale Hollow Lake" to get a good view of it.

Folks, let me say that I've had several folks PM me to ask if I can take more than one person on a spider-rigging trip, and the answer is "yes". In fact, using my Lowe Deck boat, I can take up to 4 fishermen at one time. However, my Spider-Rigging 101 offer is for only one fisherman at a time so that we can spend quality time going over all the ins and outs, tips and tricks of this style of fishing. I do these trips at a cost of $250. Trips for 2 fishermen are $300 and then $50 for each additional fisherman up to 4 total.

I keep having folks ask if I am doing my "Spider-rigging trips" only on Dale Hollow Lake. No, I guide on Lake Cumberland and Green River Lake as well and can set up a fishing trip with you on any of the three lakes. Just give me a call at 606-451-9381 or send me an email at [email protected]. Thanks for all the interest! I've had several folks book trips already!

Even with all this rain and high water, Dale Hollow is still producing fish for me while spider-rigging. Caught a nice limit yesterday. Call or send me an email at [email protected] if you'd like to schedule a trip.
