Default rod holders

Has anyone made your own rod holders. One's you can hang your 12' rod out over the side of the boat. Some of us poor boys can't afford 4 or so holders at a minimum of $20 bucks each.

bass and dirk, try cutting a smaller hole than the one you make for the rod end. I used a 1 inch hole saw. Then use a jig saw to cut up and make it so the tip end of the rod to fit in and is pretty tight to the sides of the plastic.
