Thread: Need Chetek onfo please

My friend and his wife are going to Chetek for the first time. Anybody out there that can offer anything up? I think they go in 2 weeks, maybe next week though. Any input at all will be very appreciated.

WOW....the help here is overwhelming

We don't get much info & Wisconsin folks to talk here. U gotta try the site up in Wis. seems that's only place they will talk.

I just think there's not enough members from Wisconsin that are willing to give up their hot spots in certain areas.

As we gain more members...maybe their willing to share more info.But...having access to the internet is helpful if you know where to look also.It's just as easy to do it yourself...than if I were to do it.

Or they are like me, I only fish one lake, and I do it poorly!

Two of our best friends own a resort called Outers Resort in Chetek. My wife and I go there every year for a week as well. I'd be happy to try to help you in any way. If I can't, and I also realize I'm a few months late, our friends certainly could.

. Lots of useful info on fishing, lodging, dining, etc. Fished there two summers 2000 and 2001 during early July and hit the rodeo at Spooner while there. Caught lots of crappie but had to sort through them to get limits of keepers. Have a nice 4th celebration with parade but the lake is hectic especially if the 4th falls on a weekend.

I fished there once in the spring for crappie. I'd try the SW lake (prarie?) Off the island nearest the connection to the NW lake. Should be able to locate them there.
