Default Ice out!

Ice went off a cpl days ago at a nearby lake. This lake also has trout but is not open yet, but I find early, after ice out, is a good time for them (catch & release) b4 they return to the spring or require night fishing the deep part of the lake. Only got 2 small crappies but a nice Brown trout 3-4 lbs. Trout in this lake can be kept ice fishing and only closes now along with game fish. There are some biggys in the lake, my largest last year was 5 lbs. Also huge LM Bass but difficult to catch because of bait competition in the lake, and not many, but big, N/Pike. 17 lbs, 2 years ago on a rubber worm bass fishing Oh, no boat or motor problems, all set to go, thats really why I went out.
