Thread: Crappie at silver lake Mid-March!!!

You can start getting crappie on the main lake sarting around march 15th. and it picks up in the canals around easter.
Try on the dock at the motel at night (under the lights).

Ex bass guide:I got a question for you: which silver lake? The one near Spokane or on the West side of the state? At the Silver Lake near Medical lake, south of Spokane, I caught a ton of crappie last summer off the fishing dock at the resort.While fishing from my Tracker, A huge Tiger Musky came up and took my G finish Zara Spook topwater bait. He broke me off too!The Bass that were holding under the north side docks were around 1 &1/2 lbs to 3 lbs. We swam smoke salt and pepper tube baits and watermelon senko's for the bass. My biggest crappie was a 2 pounder I caught on a perch colored 2" berkley micro minnow on a 1/32nd oz lead head with a red hook. We primarily tight lined the minnow jigs above the weed tops in 12 feet of water. The crap's on my best day averaged 9". The jigmiester
