Thread: Crappie In Riffe Or Swofford Pond ?

SLAB ? I NEED YOUR KNOWLEDGE ON THIS. WENT THERE LAST WEEKEND AND GOT SKUNKED FROM THE SHORE.HOLLA AT YOUR BOY

Wish I could help buy I don't jack about crappies in either of those lakes lol. I've heard rumors about big crappies in Riffe. They say they spawn in July in the coves along the north shore.

I've only fished Swafford for channel cats from the bank. We'd fish near the dam using crawdad tails on the bottom. It's okay/good in late August.

IS THAT THE DAM RIGHT ACROSS FROM RIFFE , BECAUSE I FISHED THERE WITH NIGHTCRAWLERS AND DIFFERENT FISH SCENT SUCH AS HERRING , SARDINE AND GARLIC AT 12:30 IN THE MORN TILL ABOUT 2 AND NOT A BITE , BUT THERE WERE BATS AND THE CATFISHING SUCKED

I know what you mean man. I made three trips down there before catching one lol:D. It's an okay place to fish but the dock on Harts Lake is better for channel cats but you don't have as much room to fish.

THINKING ABOUT GOING TO HART'S THIS WEEKEND IN THE EVENING. I'LL PROBALLY FISH FROM THE SHORE, THERE USED TO BE A TIME THAT THE FURTHER YOU THREW FROM THE SHORE THE BIGGER THE CRAPPIE GOT. ALSO ARE THE CHANNELS BITING IN THE DAY OR EVENING. I'LL HOLLA

I did good in the early morning from the resort. I heard they closed the boat launch area to night fishing last season so I'm not sure if you can fish from there at night. Let me know if you check it out this weekend...I might head back up there next weekend.

WOW SLAB DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. GOT THERE ABOUT 6P.M AND MAN IT SUXED BAD. CAUGHT BULLHEADS ALL WERE KIDS AND I STAYED TO ABOUT 11:00 P.M PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!
