Default crappie fishing in Eastern Washington

My friend and I are planning a trip to fish for some crappies in Eastern Washington as the consensus have been that there just aren't that many big crappies in the Puget Sound area. I want to catch some good sized ones. Can someone tell me where to go and when (around what date and time during the day) they'll bite the most? Also what baits or jigs work best? I don't have a boat so I plan to either rent one or fish off a dock somewhere...

    Thank you

Moses Lake and Potholes from July-Nov. During the day Moses will be better. At night they are both insane as far as the number of fish you'll catch. They can both be hit or miss as far as the size of fish you can catch from the bank but they'll be your best shot from the bank. Soda lake and the Snake River can be good too but the Snake is a long drive to make if you don't know that area well and if there's a large amount of snowmelt in the river the fishing can be bad. Time it right though (plus a little luck) and you'll catch a bunch of nice fish from the bank there too.

On Potholes just fish off the dock at night and setup your own light in a dark section of the dock. The fish will be right under the dock. On Moses you'll want to fish the bridges during the day or the wasteways during the night or first two hours of light. 1/32oz jigs tipped with crappie nibbles and a hand full of small floats is all you'll need.
Fishing is nice, but I prefer to spend my time on the water catching :D
