Default Silver lake should start heating up soon

This time of year the crappie are out in the main lake. Look for docks, rockpiles, pilings and lily pad edges. Brush is also a great choice. Look for movment on the edge of the pads and try crapie fishing there. You may find the mother load!

I would give it a week or two for it to be white hot crappie fishing. Fish on a sunny day! crappie like the sun!

If you are after Crappie email me at rogerlu@tek.com and I will send you a great map I made of silver lake for bass and crappie.
The crappie will be in the cannals on the east end of the lake "streeters cannal" is the palce to be. Drive your boat in the cannal next to the shore line brush on a sunny day and when you see fish move stop and fish! You will see the cannal on my map. Fish a crappie jig 18 inches under a SMALL bobber. and toss near the brush for best results. The small bober is help you catch many more fish. Remember the limit is 10 and they must be 9 inches long to keep. As for the bass this is a great time to go after them too. Crank baits and soft plastics on wood or under docks!

Good Looking bass guide. We've gone down there at least 5 times in the last month and did very well each time with perch, blue gill. 3 out of the 5 trips the slab crappie bite was on, the other two trips we didn't see anybody catch crappie. We fished the canals and the old boat rental dock.
