Default Offical hog choker report for Gaston bream

Wife and i set off at around 7:00 a.m. went to my secrect bream holes and started off good with two keepers. When i say keepers i am talking 7" or better.using a yellow floating popper. wife using red wrigglers on a telescoping crappie pole, staying hung up in trees/stumps as usual.Must have gone through at least 12 hooks during 3 hours.Worms producing bait snachters, fly rod same except for occassional keeper. Finally they wore off everything on popper and changed up to new green floating popper.Explosived hit,but had to fish differentily using a cast, stop pop, stop method.Caught several pumpinseed on steriods. When they hit the water exploded and i thought i had the mother of all bream on.Turned out to be about 4" long.Must have thrown back 60 smallies. How did yard sell go?I need two beds to put in basement for visiting Cc,folks such as yourself.Let me know if you run across such. Wife,of course ended up catching the largest at 9 1/2" long tipping the scale at 7and 1/2 oz."Sheelcracker"Sorry ole sedge don't have pic cappabilities.Don't know how,or have equipment.

Yea, it/s fun to mess around with those bream, especially on a fly rod. They have a lot of pull-age for fish of their size.
Haven't checked any lake stats to compare number of Shell Cracker citations but there is a good population of citation Shell Crackers that come out of their LCR . You might want to check it out and make a trip up. Here's one that a friend caught last Friday.
