I will be heading to Kerr the middle of next week to check out a paver/retaining wall job we did and figured we would stay a couple days and fish, anyone going to be in the area or have any tips for this time of year? Doc, if I have to tow the tractor and cant take the boat are you booked for these days?

Good Luck. I would think brush piles if you got'em and the big bridges if you don't.

Thanks SH by the way Brian is wrestling like a BEAST.
2007 SPRING KERR LAKE CRAPPIE BASH CHAMP!!!
lakes come up bout 4ft from last rain. whole new ball game! Big Fatty, got a trip 12/24, only day I have booked. gimme a holler if ya wanna hire a good guide!!!
Next time Doc, we ended up fishing but we were expecting a phone call that would have forced us to leave so we went at it ourselves. Tuesday we launched at Rudds about 2:30 and started on the few brushpiles I know of and they were full of dinks. I am sure it didnt help that all the piles I know of were in super muddy water so we headed back out to the bridges and picked up a few. we then went to the rudds campground ramp and while trolling in we picked a good one up so I kicked out a marker and we caught 14 nice ones before they quit. Wednesday we went back to rudds and the muddy water had moved and we wondered aimlessly but managed to get another 20 good solid keepers(nothing under 10") but could find the stacked anywhere. Question for you guys, does the muddy water move the fish or just shut them down? I wish I would have called Doc to learn what to do-where to go when the water is turning to mud. All the fish were caught on minnows or bucktails with minnows in 25-35' of water at about 10-15' deep. water temp was between 47-48.3 deg. Great time was had and that is one beautiful place when all that fog and mist blows in.
2007 SPRING KERR LAKE CRAPPIE BASH CHAMP!!!
Glad you guys had fun and caught some fish.
I went to Cox last night to watch the match. Kellam won, even after forfeiting the heavyweight.
Brian pinned his guy, sorta bitter sweet though, because he beat Steve Davidson's kid and he and I have been friends for 25 yrs. plus.

Good job on the fish Big. That would be a good day for me. What paving co. do you work for?
SH- I was planning on going to cox-kellem but I was running late on my way back from kerr and the Grassfield head coach called and told me they were wrestling at Kings Fork which is off 10/32. I pulled in boat and all and made it as the first match was starting. Brian is a beast and is my pick for sure to beat everyone in the state.
Pan- I am part owner of a lawn care co. and we do alot of landscaping and pavers/retaining walls. One of our customers here owns a house on gaston by the dam and wanted a retaining wall around all the beds at the house and rip the driveway out and put pavers in. We dont do a ton of out of town work but if they pay CASH and give their house up for free, we will do it.

I was asking because I sell Brick, pavers, and wall for Riverside Brick and I am allways looking for an excuse to take someone fishing on the company dime. When business picks up a little I'll get us hooked up with a company paid Fishdoc guided fishing trip. If you havnt fished with him dont miss the chance. I hope things come around soon cause it aint looking good on my end of the business.
