Fish finder pro-angler humminbird xt-9-20-T
Last week I got a code implying "transducer not connected"
The instrament would work for a minute, then just show the a top and lower depth and a couple border lines, I turned it off and on a hundred times and that didn't solve it
I checked the wires best as possible, all looks intact....I assume the transducer is going (gone) bad,
I removed the finder and checked the wires under, and shoved them in to ensure good contact, I turned it on and instead of starting in simulator mode it started up, I'm thinking maybe the transducer is going bad. (I still have to test it in water)
If I should have to replace the transducer Humminbird XT-6-20 Transom Mount Transducer
has anyone done this in the pass, and can offer some advice.
Thanks (as always)
PS the heading should be XT 6-20-T

It's pretty easy to do. Biggest issue is rerunning the wire thru the boat and transom. With my old boat I ran the wire under the gunnel and then over the transom and put some cable holders on the transom. Most likely it is the transducer, they do go bad.
