Thread: 1ST day back......nothing

Got to go fishin today, finally.... I knew it was gonna be a bad day, cause girlscout rd and deer hit my boat. Saw\them crossing the road and slowed down to be nice and BAM. Bambi ran into my trailer at my spare tire. guess it was alright cause when I stopped it was gone. still be gate guard there rigged boat launched at dawn. left at 1 no fish no bites nothing. Did snag the Dept. of game and inland fisheries gill net for stripers. talked to them nets should be back in on Fri till Sat when they check them. If you see a oarge marker thats the end of net running to shore. AVOID if you snag you will not get anything free, trust me I know. PLease help me catch some fish. need to remember what that feels like.....

I been out twice over the holiday weekend, and zippo for me as well, I could almost swear I heard a couple birds laughing...weird...

Anyway I hope our luck changes soon for the better.

It's good to hear you getting out even if you didn't find them, just keep on trying and take care of that foot. You will catch up to them soon.

Sorry to hear about the fishing. Too bad You did not kill the deer. I just could not help myself when I read your post with the deer. keep recouping and the fish will cooperate at some point. As for the deer, maybe it won't. Just a friendly message from your friendly neighborhood serial deer killer!:DCF

I'm not surprised, the bite usually slows down for me this time of year. I may just have to try something different on Saturday.

Ted, can you get me the code book to decipher your messages? :D I'm guessing that you're one of them one finger typist. Are you saying that the gate was locked when you got there? Sunrise was at 7:00, what time did you get there?
