    Default House-Autry Seafood Breader

A while back someone on this site recommended this brand for frying crappie. Well, I just recently got around to trying it and I'll tell you what, it's some good stuff. I highly recommend it for your nest fish fry. You can pick it up at Kroger and most grocery stores.

    Beware Brothers of the North.
I been around these parts just about long enuf to know that anything said other than good about House Autry in these parts is about like badmouthing Dukes mayo, both Earnhardts, grits, collards, and having carnal knowledge of yur Sis.

    .....that is some good stuff!

I use Washington bread mix when I can get it, but I reckon this looks like it's worth a whirl. When I aint got WBM I use plain white flour with a heavy spritz of seasonal mixed in. Thanks for the tip Tap. Hey I like that! TipTap TipTap TipTap TipTap.

House Autry is some good stuff. The Southern Sportsman, Frank White, turned me on to it 35 yrs. ago. House Autry was one of his sponsors and Frank would hawk their products during his cooking segment. I remember he had a cute wife that he always put on “onion detail”, and he wasn’t always nice about it---“Shut-up and chop”. I guess that’s why she bailed on him after just a couple of years on the air.
