2 Lost Souls
Hod dang! I was in Edenton today and You'll never guess who I ran into, C-REX And SHOER!!!!!!!!!
Seems they had got way off course hunting down a Hooters on the Carolina side. First thing I hear when I get out of the truck is some joke about grits dripping off my chin!
Shoer just can't let the grits go. I knew they thought they were in the middle of BFEgypt and had a look of concern on their face. I took pity and escorted the Fellas through a couple of My favorite Crappie holes and sent them off in the right direction for some possible Hooters sightings. Last I heard they were bout half lost somewhere over by the Cashie River. Hope the Cashie River Thing didn't get a hold of em.
All kidding aside, Rex was good enough to bring me a trailer He was getting rid of. I jumped on it as soon as He posted a pic of it a while back. Said He would bring it down to me today while Him and Shoer were road tripping over to Rocky Mount for some fine home made sausage. It was Good to see You Boys. Wish We could have had more time to BS. we'll hit the gator when it gets fiesty. Thanks a bunch Tony. Hope Y'all got to Williamston in pretty short order. CF

435 miles LOL!!!!
:D Man, that was a haul. Pembroke is where I put in at. I know the current manager of Pembroke fishing center and He was the owner but recently sold it and is retiring in Dec. New owners will take it then and I hope they do as good a job as what Jerry has. I have numerous brushpiles close to there. Very good crappie fishing. Also awesome bass fishing. Bass tourneys held there all the time keeps that creek stocked with some monsters. Edenton Bay and Pembroke creek are slam full of white Perch from late June-September. Cooler fulls caught at times. Great striper fishing is only a few minutes boat ride out of Pembroke. Y'all rode over a bunch of fisheries on Your way to Rocky Mount. Chowan, Cashie, Roanoke all have really good fishing. They are very much like the NW river except for Roanoke which has a real current. Give Me a holler or PM me when You decide on when You want to come down to stay. I'll give Ya the skinny on the area. Oh Yeah, Put my canoe on the trailer today. Perfect fit. just a few minor mods needed. Thanks again Tony. CF

There was some right fishy places along the way. Yeah Rex & I logged some miles yesterday, we wuz road doggz.:D I told Rex how small my world has been since moving here 6 yrs ago and how it felt like Shoers Big Adventure.
Told him I was gonna retrace our route on the map at home and see where all I'd been!!:D Make an entry in my journal.

Now ya gotta understand, I dearly hate a snitch or a tattle-tail but before you jumpin on me about any grits remarks be advised Rex siad sumthin about you & collards I dint rightly understand.

:D
We need to find a time that works and get together and fish some of that water down there.
Sounds good to me Boss. Now bout them grits, see a person that knows how to properly prepare grits will make them where they don't drip. I would not give loose grits to my dog. loose grits, loose sh#^s. Now bout them collards, I am kinda an anomaly to these parts when it comes to Collards cause I ain't got much of a taste for em. I could make up some lie and tell Ya that I ate some that got cooked in grease from a pile of deer that were sitting on top of some collards in my deer incinerator room and tell Ya that when someone passes me the collards then I just pass em back but I just don't like em, thats all.
Glad Ya liked the area. You went passed several areas that the Onion could find some good fishen pretty easily. I'll give ya a shout when I get through with beans and We'll hit somewhere one day. Give me a call If You see something that catches your fancy on your trace back on the map. Check out google maps too over the area. Oh by the way, The freshly plowed/ wheat planted farm that We went by just getting to the shop, is the soon to be historically marked battlefield known as deerburger hill. Just letting You know that You were riding by a piece of history.CF
