    Default Buggs 11/12 & 11/13

Been Wanting to go to Buggs. Either couldn't afford it, didn't get time off, or was coaching. It's been over a year, So That's it! I'll miss the bash due to a rescheduled game but will go during the week to scout for yall lucky ones. Hope the weather holds and If Doc or Someone could give me a good place to start looking It'll be much appreciated. I'm pretty good on spots in Buffalo, Rudds, & Bluestone. As well as the bridges and a few main lake points. I'll be at the Lake Motel as usuall.

JD when up at Rudds week before last Dave told us to fish the 58 bridge on Rudds just out from the boat ramp. He said you could either tie up or drift. Drop your line down to the bottom then begin bringing it back up real slow. Dave and Doc always give some go info so I would give it a try. Stay around the piles in the deeper water at the channel. Of course Ron and I are mule headed and only tried it a few minutes. Wind was too hard to fight and gave up on it.

What AC said, but if that doesn't work you could launch @ Ocone-whatever and it would give you access to a ton of bridge pilings.
Without brush pile locations, I think the bridges are your best bet.

or ya could do like I have for many yrs. idle around in 15-25ft of water with a marker in ya hand and an eye on ya depth finder. if ya have GPS, mark'em with it. if not, use the ol rifle sightin system. I try to spend time on bout every trip lookin for new places to fish. watch for stumps on the bank that were recently cut also. usually a brush pile nearby. watch for other fishermen that have out marker bouys, check after they leave. or hire a good guide....

Thanks all. I have a few brush pile locations and know about the bridges. I will do my best hitting up rudds and butchers the first day and maybe the main lake bridge the second day. Last few times I was there I marked piles of the main lake, butchers/rudds, bluestone, and buffalo. Should be good just want to make the trip the best I can.

hope ya do better than we did today. first three piles I went to had somebody fishin'em. next couple places didn't have any fish on'um. only caught one keeper, nearly 11inches. had may 25-30 more that were 7-9 inches. did get into the LMB, small stripers and whitebass chasin bait. two young'uns I had with me ejoyed catchin a bunch of them. my worst days are cloudy, when crappie fishin. most everything else I fish for bites better when its cloudy. better carry ya some minnows, wish I had.
