How was fishin with my homeboys?

Your Homeboys didn't produce. We need to get these boys straightened out.

It was a great time with my dad, two step brothers and two step uncles up in Minnesota for a whole week. We didn't get much for Walleye. It was Warm (75-80 all week) , full sunshine, high barometric pressure all week. The only time we caught walleye was from 7:30pm to 8:30 pm, just at dusk. Once it got dark, no more. Tried a couple early morning outings and nothing producing. Ended up with 7 walleye for the week, not good. Everyone was saying it has been a slow year on this lake, way than an overbuddence of baitfish. We saw bait balls that were 10 foot wide and 10 foot deep every day. Throw all around em and nothing. We got into the crappie for the first time on that lake. Mostly at night, but sitting at 10' in 45 FOW. Lake has a ton of rock mounds, points etc. but no brush or fallen trees and very few docks. We did the best slow longlining Crappie Assassins and not as many off Sliders. Blue was the color of chose. We got 60-70 nice 10-14". No Perch at all. 15 or so Northern Pike, nothing huge. The catch of the week was damn Rock Bass (Not the Striper kind). Every time you threw out or started to troll, bang another damn Rock Bass. They were a pain, not worth the minnow they took.
We played more cards and drank more beer than I have ever indulged in for a week of fishing in a while. One step uncle was from California and this was the first time I had met him. Ol man said on the way he was a good guy, didn't drink much and pretty quite. Boy was he wrong. I gave the ol man crap all week about not knowing his brother. He was a crack up and drank more beer than two of us combined. It was a hoot.
So had fun. Week away from the world. No Life Wrecker. Just 6 men fishing, drinking, playing cards, burping, farting and not a care in the world.
Then I came back to work. Darn I need another trip.
