Default Someday soon, I'm going crappie fishing!

My biological clock is ticking. I need a day off filled with disappearing Thill corks. Too windy and getting wet this week. But, next week, I might just borrow one of Uncle Shoers Grannys.

    It's gonna happen...........be ready.

Mr. John H. Kerr needs some company.

I know what you mean. Corker keeps sending me emails getting me all worked up about Lake Anna. I remember the good ol' days when I used to get this excited over chasing a woman. Now I just want to go fishing, soon.
    Glad I could help

Just like Col. Jessip, I can't handle the truth. I refuse to accept it. Sure, each of them is in soccer at different times and places, one in Scouts and one in Dance. That doesn't mean it is over. It can't be. It won't be.

    I believe. I believe. I believe.

See what I mean brother. Look I got one in scouts, and contemplating soccer. The other will be doing soccer next spring, plus the other maybe doing baseball. Heres how I got around the kid stuff.

I let Justin finish tee ball spring season. At which point I've gotten him worked up about fishn'. He tells his mom he doesn't wanna do football this year or fall soccer cuz he wants to fish all summer and fall with dad. If I keep them both hooked(no pun)on fishn' we can keep the kid stuff to a min. And really, it isn't for me, it's for them, they NEED to fish as part of their come uppins. As long I bring home food once in while mama don't raise no eye brows. The trouble is gonna start when I start talking Bash's with her and why can't I bring Justin? Well I can't very well let him see me hanging out with people who administer "herbal treatments", how would that look? How would it look as I stood closer and closer inhaling deeply? I mean chastising the SOB!!!

You need a plan, Dayton. This kind of thing takes a cold calculating diabolical mind to pull off.

I'm on trial here? Is that what this is? I'm on trial? That is laughable. You stand there in your lilly white farrier uniform and you judge the decisions I make? You don't understand, son. This world has crappie. Those crappie wanna be caught. Who is going to do it? You? Bill? Tap? Ha. It's a dangerous world out there. Those lakes have shores. And those shores are protected by men with fishing poles. So unless you want to risk a little slime on your precious self, I suggest you clam up. Else, grab a rod and fish beside me.

You dang right I ordered the code Red.

Now, put a sock in it.

ok, I gotta break out with truth here, your just not getting it. 2001 put my boat in the garage, all sorts of plans to restore things and add a deck, live well, electronics etc. this after watching it sit in my moms backyard for 8 years. Son#1 comes after only 1 season with boat at new house. Boat sits for 3 years, wife buys minivan, boat leaves garage. Get cover for boat, which is now under deck. Son#2 comes, boat sits some more. Am allotted annual token fishn' trips to keep me happy enough to do work around the house and bring home check. Boat still sits. Am given bouts of hope- staring out the window at boat. Money gets tighter as children get older, can't buy a new battery or bearings, boat sits some more. Fuel prices go up, prop still broke, scrub idea of gas engine on the river. Boat sits some more. 2008 can't hold it in anymore, do double shifts around the house to find time later for repairs to boat and trailer. 07' soccer starts up, exhausted and exasperated can't find energy to hitch boat and use it, boat sits some more. 08' tee ball starts up, no fishn' till tee ball is done. Shall I continue?

We need to form a support group. FWWF Fathers who wanna fish. I have my 3 year old every day I'm off now and I love spending time with her but man she is a handful. Cant turn my back on her for a second. I have been trying to work up the courage to take her out in the boat but I am expecting a complete disaster. Anyone have the secret for keeping a 3 year olds attention for more that 3 minutes. Please let me know.
