Default Could Not Have Been Worst!!!!

Not to take away from who ever is going to make the report on what happens at the weight in but this is how it went for Ron and I. It was if not the worst day of fishing on Buggs we have had ourselves it sure was the second worst. We caught 21 with only 4 keepers. We did not weight them when we got home but would guess 21/2 to 23/4 for all four. We left at 2:30 and Bill we left word back at the Bait Shop to tell you all that we and CRex and Chris had gone. Hope they told you all. I'll let Crex tell you his trip results but I will say it wasn't any better then ours. Fish were not on brush or at least the 12 piles we fished in Butchers, Panhandle and the Power line cove. Our faces are as red as if we have been out in 95 degrees in early April. One reason we left is my trolling motor battery is dead as a door knob. I know Dave had to have a time of it with the wind like it was he just had to be limited to spots he could fish. Now for the rest of the story. Crex put his boat on the trailer about 15 minutes before we did. I hope those three fellows waiting at the ramp showed Tony and Chris what they had in their live well. I did not get to see it but when Ron walked up to get the truck and trailer they showed him what Ron say is the best catch he had ever seen at Buggs. Just with a guess Ron said about 40 fish and about 3 or 4 of them big. Most 3/4 to 1 lb. Said they were waiting for Dave to come in. Also said most all brush piles in Butchers are not producing fish. Wish they would have told us earlier. Dave will tell if this is true or not. They were in a white and blue boat, alum Ron said. Would not say a word as to where, how deep, when or nothing. Oh well just glad they were not in the bash.

We didnt catch a fish of any kind all day. Started out in eastland creek till lunch. then back on the trailer to rudds still no fish, dead battery and back on the trailer at 2 heading to Bobcats. Picked up 4 14ft wally marshall tinelines specials and some grubs and headed home. :D I still had fun at BiBT visiting with folks and meeting some new people.:D

Hang in there the both of you. When they are on the brush and things are alot easier to define then today there is no better place to be then on Buggs. The fish in the lake do seem to be a bit hard to figure out at this time of the year.

we fished the power line on the main lake across from butchers, the wind was hard all day but we caught over 100 fish on brush in 32ft of water with 62 over 11 inches, also caught some nice ones at the bridge in butchers, hopkins jig was the deal for us today.

Sounds like a typical bash day at buggs! Wind wind wind.
Always windy when I go down to buggs. or even when I don't go.
Glad you guys still got on a few fish even if it was a lot of work.
    Sorry I missed out.
