    Talking 3 more ring perch

Here is a picture of 3 more citation ring perch I caught today on the Pamunkey River. Caught 2 on a small crank bait and 1 on a Mepps spinner. Only ended up catching 4 but they were all good. Lost a couple more beside the boat. Also caught a bunch of small white perch, a couple of bass and a couple catfish. It was a beautiful day to be on the water. All fish caught up in creeks on the last 2 hours of the outgoing tide. The only downside was a big bass tournament was at the ramp at take out. Must have been 50 boats. 45 minute wait to load my boat. O well I can't complain. Fishing should get better here over the next month. All the fish were fat and the grass is starting to die off.
    Tight lines,
    Roy

Good catch Roy. Bet you get a call from the Squirrel Hunter and C-Rex when they see them.

    T-Rex,
I'm usually fishing up in the creeks, casting against the tide (current) and bringing the bait back with it. Usually the last 2 hours of the out going tide are best. I'm catching the fish in 3' to 5' of water, casting up to or just outside of the grass line. I do best on outside bends where a small cut runs into it. Days with some wind are better than those without any. Hope this helps.

    Roy
