There are times when you just want to be by yourself. I really like fishing alone. Very soon, I am going to burn a vacation day and go to Buggs by myself. Work, kids, family etc....some times you just need a break.

We have one catfish tournament per month here on the James. 90% of the time I choose to fish alone.

I fish alone most of the time as well. I enjoy the quiet and the alone time. That, and I figure folks just don't like to fish with me or they just don't like me period. It works out good either way.

I've donated $30 now to the bash's, I've paid my dues, it's time to cash in! :D Tomorrow I will be scouting out a new spot, at least new to me. I've seen another crappie fisherman spend quite some time at this spot (I've often wondered if he's lurking on this forum) so I'm curious to see what the fish finder reveals. It's near land and is on an outside bend of the main creek channel. I've got a few classified spots that I'll be working during the bash as well. Ted, I'd hate to overload your brain with too many spots to fish. :D

    Cool thanks

I guess I'll go it alone so I can keep the big bucks all to myself unless the wife
finds out. Guess I'll need to spy on sat to find the spots

Water temps are on the way down now. Any fallen tree laying in the water will be fine very soon.

The interesting thing about Western Branch is that compared to say Lake Prince (it's neighbor) it has relatively few fallen trees that you can see. I'm scoring on finding the trees that are completely underwater.

Be advised you may be shutting out a whole class of fishing partners. Take
me for example- I don't like you period but will fish with you any time you want !!
