I know we have a few folks in the Southside area. I am addicted to Buggs Island for crappie fishing. Mostly because, Lake Chesdin is the only lake close by and I haven't seen too many brush piles in there. The few creeks have enough to fish in the spring, when things are right, but as for deeper water and main lake points and pocket, there are few.
Maybe we need to have a structure sinking party at Chesdin. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Can be as easy as loading some cinder blocks and rope in some boats and pulling some fallen trees from the woods and sinking them.
Any ideas?
I would love to have a dozen good places to fish there. Would be great for half day or after work trips.

Any time you like, your welcome to use th place. There is a private ramp available also. Its been a while ,some friends put in over eighty condos consisting of twelve trees each. They staged them from my place, in return they gave me the location map. I will try to dig in up.
I think there are plenty of piles in the lake but ya got to take time to find them.
The grass line along the shore holds fish. Water drops off to 6-12 feet right up against the grass.
Right now the lake is several feet low. The crappie should be holding on the deeper docks.
Let's do it.
