Spent a cpl hrs out in the garden this morning. Thinking about the huge garden our family raised. We canned, froze, pickled, had a root cellar. I have a brother 9 yrs older & a sister 9 yrs younger so with the exception of a cpl yrs when my brother was still at home or my sister was old enuf, it was generally just me and the folks working side by side in the garden. In Minnesota in the summertime it stays light till 10 PM because of the latitude.
Anyway, they have both passed on, Mom in '93 and Dad in 2000. I miss em both terribly, wish we woulda had more time time together. I just want to say
if yur folks are alive, cherish the time. If things aint right mend fences if you can. If yur folks are gone only you know how you feel. If things weren't the best for petes sake forgive em. Everyone have a safe & fun weekend.
My folks, Ray & Adeline

I know just how you feel,I lost dad in 96 and mom in 98.My best memories as a kid was when we used to go to santee cooper in the spring crappie fishing.I'd give anything to do that one more time.Spend all the time you can with them cause you don't know how bad you miss them till thier gone.
If I had of known I was going to live so long I would've tried to taken better care of myself!
My father passed away in '97 mom '05. Still miss both of them. Wish I could thank them again for my childhood. I was one lucky girl, fishing with daddy every chance we got. O.K. my brother came too, which was great too.
Safe weekend everyone.
What makes a better lightning rod than a graphite fishing rod? NOTHING!
