Default Beware of scam artists working Tidewater area

Man and woman come to your door and talk their way in. Man says he has to use bathroom and while woman keeps whoever busy he goes where he can and takes what he can. So far people in Western Branch area and Deep Creek (my neighbor across street) have been hit. They drive a small Dodge pick up, red with a blue fender. Ch-13 news-truck was in area today so maybe there will be something on evening news about it. If you see that truck, report it to the police as a burglar suspect. This is according to detective.

Thanks for the heads up Bill.

If I don't know the person at my door I make a point not to sit and talk to them with the door open. I either get rid of them through the storm door (dogs usually barking at whomever) or I'll step outside and close my door behind me. And if I don't know you, you certainly are not coming in my house. Period. If you need something or it's an emergency, I'll go get it for you!
Once someone is in your house, things could get real ugly real fast and noone would probably know until it's too late.

Heard too many stories like the one you mentioned so I don't trust anyone I don't know knocking on my door.

    Be safe out there.

Just found out from a news guy they even know his name now. Last name is Bass, no wonder the guy went bad. Another news truck was just here but I didn't catch the channel they were from.j

I answer the door with 1911 behind my back, if I see it's somebody I don't know I let it slide foward enough so they can see it. That comes from living in Ocean View in the 70's and 80's, it gets rid of the salesman and Witness types too.

Something about that big hole at the end of a gun barrel keeps all kinds of bad stuff from being tried. CF

    Default Gun Control

SUPPORT GUN CONTROL!! HOLD YOUR FIRE MAKER WITH BOTH HANDS!!

Thanks for the info guys. It is a shame that we live in a society that requires these types of precautions but that is the nature of the beast. The sooner these bleeding hearts realize that, the sooner we can answer our doors wearing nothing at all instead of just a gun.
