Congrats to Bill for winning all of the money today!
Nobody caught many (only Taylor and I caught none) but IBNFSHN and Horseshoer had a a close contest with Shoe's coming in at 1lb. 4 oz. and IBNFSHN at 1 lb. 7 oz. to take the big fish prize.
It was nice to meet Joe, Tap, Nitro, and Doodlum and to see Keith, Jeff, and Brad again. Wished more of you fellows could have made it. Hope to do it again soon.

Life's too short to fish with dead minnows!
We had 7 boats with 10 fishermen. (had a few missing for the pic) Good to meet all that I hadn't met yet. Here's the funny part, no one caught more than 2 crappie. Of course IBNFSHN played it smart with one of his two bringing home the prize money. Now Doodlum wasn't at the weigh in so maybe he had better luck than the rest of us. As for me, all I caught was one 9" crappie, two pike, a bluegill, and a bass. The wind made it tough on all of us and the fish just weren't interested in feeding.

We had another successful outing!
The local favorite has yet to win a Bash except for Dave at Kerr.![]()
I ended up with two crappie (a dink and a 12"er) , 3 bass, 3 pickerel, and a JD fish (a big one that got away). I have no idea what the JD fish was. It hit hard, pulled off about 20 yards of line during its run, and broke a 10 pound mono leader. All my fish were caught before 10am. I did mark about 9 brush piles or stumps while I was there.

Just so there is no confusion;Taylor and I caught no crappie. We did manage 3 pickeral, a bass, and a ring perch. I had to clear that up because I didn't want Hot Grease to think I was besmerching the family name.

Congradulations Wild Bill!! You are the reigning King!! You musta been hungry for the Title by the looks of your right nipple. Now I am wondering just how far the physical reaction thing goes when you catch a nice one?? We must discuss this at length next time we fish.
Kinda gives me the heebie jeebies to think just a few weeks ago you were sitting a scant few feet away from me in the Onion with some pretty nice slabs in the cooler between us.
Joe it was great to meet you & really enjoyed chewin the fat with ya. Some people I suspect or think I would really enjoy fishin with, you I know I would
so if ya find yourself coming this a way or me yours lets hook up sometime.
You hang in there. You know what I mean.![]()
Was good to see everyone again as always. Wish more of you coulda made it.
Eric Reedy, I MISSED ya man. But I understand, and Pops & Taylor filled in for ya admirably . Just so ya know man we didn't cut you any slack today. We all pretty had you sized up for somebody who was up to the task when we first heard about the health deal and hear that indeed we were right, so it gives me great pleasure to tell you I was fighting for space at the top of the podium for the verbal trashing out we gave ya. Hey man if its okay with Pop and you feel up to it, I am planning to fish Pocahontas Lake again, went there 3 times last yr and like it. You would be right on my way. I aint offering but once, you want to & can go, you holler at me Chemosabe.
Brad, thanks for a great time, good company, being a fun, relaxing fishin
partner. Sorry we didn't get on the fish better but seemed it was a tough day all around. I always use PanMan as a gauge to how the fishing is. If he can't see enuf fish on that Saks 5th Ave fish finder of his to have the woods echoing the sounds of explosives, I figger its a lost cause. I'm not real sure we didn't get hoodwinked by Bill. Those 2 he had looked mighty much like some I put him on at Waller Mill recently, and Joe & him each had somethinging bulging in their pockets when they walked down to the ramp.

Brad & Taylor Reedy just after I approached with a sleeping on the floor of the Onion SH. Thats 2 sharp fellers there. Without any prompting they gave him a thorough M&M pelting, with a well-aimed headshot finally bringing him out of his slumber.

TapOut and Pan Man Rigs nice rigs! Now the Onion is a classic.
Sorry I didn't come back to the landing for the weight-in. Would have had my tail between my legs. Not one Crappie, couple of bass and a 23" pike and that was it. Couldn't give up so I stayed till 8:00PM. Fish got to bitting a little around 6:00. Caught one 14" and one 13" and three around 10"/11" and a few bass. Long day, came home and went to bed.
Looking forward to fishing with ya'll again soon.

Well at least you got a few (including some nice ones) late. I wanted to hang around as well but with the wind blowing as hard as it was I decided to call it a day. Thanks for helping me with my boat when I put in, right nice of you to tie it up for me out of everyone elses way.Originally Posted by Doodlum
