.....the dieing sport of broccolli fishing.


To successfully brangle, one must go when the broccolli are present in numbers. I like a crankbait, caught these on a Natural Shad pattern Shad Rap SR7. They seem to allow for a solid hook-up, often with both trebles.



Broccolli On!!! You can shore fish for em with good success but I prefer to go in the boat, the slight elevation in the boat affords good sight-casting opportunities. Them smaller ones I let grow up and come back for another day.



An average one for today.



Were several more keepers but I jus kept enuf for supper.


Almost as much fun as melon-gigging the neighbors' patch under the full moon!
