Had thought about checking this out but doesn't look like that will happen now.
Should have done it sooner I guess.
I feel bad for all the scouts that used to camp there. From what I heard it was usually loaded with troops of scouts.

I guess I can't stay at home nights anymore. Most maps show me in it. LOL

I went to Lake Drummond when I first got my kayak. It is a haul to get in there. I imagine a canoe would take over two hours to get to it. I liked what I saw there. I went on and fished in LAke Drummond and didn't catch anything. They say there are crappie in there. THe lake is perfectly round and 3 miles in diameter. I paddled out toward the center and it was only a few feet deep. I would be up for a trip to there. They had 2 covered and screened areas that you could cook and hang out in. I might consider taking my bass boat to haul supplies and use the yak in the lake. The bathroom wasn't much to rave about but it had a regular toilet in it and there was electricity out there. You could hook up trolling motors to charge batteries there. There was plnety of room to setup tents too.
