Great report ,glad you had a good day, wonderful place to fish.
Made my second trip to Kerr this year after only making out there once last year. I stayed in Eastland Creek which is the closest ramp to my house at a mere 151 miles away. Having caught my two biggest crappie ever in that creek it's hard to pass on it. My favorite sight.
I caught 22 of the 37 crappie off of the same brush pile all 11' down. The water was round 20' in that area. Electric Chicken paddle tail did well for me.
With a few on Cajun Cricket.
Always weird to see white crappie as we only have black crappie in SE Virginia. I got 5 long lining and 10 off another brush pile fishing around 6' down. I tried shallow water but all I caught was white perch and striper. I am just not a good shallow water crappie fisherman, I do best in deep water.
I had 7 crappie at 1lb or better with the biggest at 1lb 8oz and a total weight of 8lb 8oz which is pretty good for me. I also caught a bunch of small, 6"-8" crappie. I sure wish this lake was closer, I would fish it every chance I get. I showed surface water temp at 61-64.

Good report George. There are not any more crappie left in Eastland, trust me. You need to head up and fish above the bridges, lol.
Thanks for the report!!
