I caught 14 citation yellow perch late October thru December last year. I will go out this Sunday and catch a few more.

I know where some are but just can't get to them. Lake is too low to launch. At least the ice is gone.

If you're looking for perch reports, I have one, just didn't post it because it wasn't worth the effort. The YP are in the NW, just not of any size that I could find. I fished down there about two weeks ago and caught a load of them, but nothing over 8". Caught a pretty even split of male/female. I fished from the bank to 14 ft. and could not get bit deeper than 7 FOW. I won't be able to make the bash this year, but I sure hope you all find some nice ones this Saturday. Good luck.

Thanks Kevin. It should be about time. Somebody will find them I guess. I'm gonna follow JimB. I'll say I want to spend time with him since he is moving away, but Ill be marking his spots!!!

Actually, Shawn and I didn't have much luck at last years bash. JimB told us to go hit a spot after the weigh in. We caught a bunch and had a blast. No big one to take home, but just watching that cork disappear is all I need.

Hey Dayton I've been retired for 1.3 years and now have time to find the fish and stay on the fish by fishing weather permitting as many days in a week as possible. I figured out the pattern the fish were in. From The last of october thru the end of December there were four fishing trips that I didn't catch a citation fish. I turned in 24 citations in 2017 total. I'm doing ok and wish I could have had Keith and my Dad with me. I have fished since I was twelve and never had a streak of citation fish in that amount of time.

MICKEY, I believe your Dad and Keith are with you. And they are both proud of you, and not just fishing. They day they both fishied on the pontoon boat with me in Richmond, we talked about you a lot. You three guys have something special. I know it sucks fir both of them to be gone, but you still got two fishing pals in the boat with ya.

Keep living well. Come to Nwr this Saturday. Or at least meet me At Fazolies for dinner afterwards.

    Dayton
