Lucky they weren’t killed or injured badly.

Those guys get a lot of credit for keeping it together enough to jump overboard. Good thing there were no kids or old folks fishing with them.

This happened on the Columbia River in Oregon, a huge, wide, body of water. It needs to be said, when someone suffers from elderly symptoms such as dementia, poor judgment, poor eyesight, poor mobility, etc. Their loved ones need to step up and take the keys away. This guy uses a scooter to get around because his legs are shot, he couldn't stand up an look over the bow. According to his son in law, he was goofing around on his cell phone. Afterwards, his primary comment was "well, no one was hurt badly, no need for a lawsuit".

That being said, I hope every one gets to fish and run their boat until they are 100 years old, as long as they aren't a danger to others. If they are, take them fishing, but keep them OUT of the driver's seat!

I been hit like that before. I will show you the crack in my starboard bow, the next time I see you. I couldn't believe I was still alive. Only difference was, I was moving, too.

Years ago there was a guy killed on Lake Prince, broke his neck when he got hit, Prince is a lake with a 10hp limit, still enough to kill somebody. I had a guy in a bass boat miss me by 10' at West Neck rounding a corner running wide open never even slowed down after he saw me, lucky for him he was gone too fast to catch a case of terminal lead poisoning!
