Anybody got any ideas as how not to cut the transducer cable in the trolling motor mount.I athought I had it routed as not to get it in the mount and cut it.But as luck would have it I got it.I want it mounted to the shaft, but I am very seriously rethinking this set up.Would like to hear what you all have to say on this.
Also need any ideas as to convert front live well into a bait well. The pump only pumps water in,and it pumps both front and rear wells.I would like to seperate them but this would require removing most of the decking. My boat is set up much like a Bass Tracker of the same years (01). Thanks a bunch guys.

It is a challenge to route it properly. I have my cable wrapped around the shaft with ty-raps holding it in place. I was careful to leave enough slack to allow for movement but even so, when I pull the motor up I have to keep my eye on it. I nicked it once but havn't had any problems since so long as I pay attention when I pull it up.

Attach it to the TM shaft until you get to the head. Then, attach it to the power cable that goes into the head. That should keep the cable clear of the mount.

My live wells in my old Bonito is set up like that. The hose comes from the aerator pump to a "Y" and then a hose to each well. If you can find that "Y" you could separate them. Mine is under the gas tank which has to be removed to get to it. Major pain.

Nope. I've cut mine twice. Just added extra electical tape. Nothing like having a $60K rig held together by tape...
Try running your cable thru the plastic wire wraps(the tubes that are split down the side) at your pinch points. It makes it harder to get a bite on your transducer cable.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
i got a motor with the built in transducer, saves a lot of headaches.
I do too but stopped using it when I found out it is only a 12° cone.Originally Posted by fishdoc
