Saturday my brother Steve and I went out to Northwest. Started fishing a little after 10am and ran out of minnows around 1:30pm but that didn’t stop us from catching a few more. Wrapped it up around 2pm still catching fish. Went to my buddy William’s house to clean and cook fish. He had been striper fishing earlier and did pretty well. Decided to cook up some grub and drink some beers. Had an awesome dinner of fried crappie and striper, hush puppies, potato salad and baked beans. Oh. and plenty of beers! Good time. Good company.
We trolled jigs with minnows under floats. Caught 50 or more and brought home 38. Biggest fish was just under 13" and weighed 1.25 pounds. If you want to know more specifics just send me a PM.

They went out on Sunday. Talked to him early and they had already caught a few. I'm anxious to see how they did.Originally Posted by Crappisaurusrex

Suprisingly, we didn't catch a single perch all day. We did catch one small bass and one small pickerel. It was a crappie day at Northwest!
I'm patiently waiting for the perch to show up! (Looking at my watch)

Yes he does. Needless to say Surfie and Roscoe haven't had any social time recently. But we are looking at having a doggie-family reunion in the near future. We'll see how that goes!Originally Posted by horseshoer

Well Y'all look out because from the 20th of Jan-18th of feb I'll be on vacation. Coincidence? I don't think so! That's right at what should be the height of the perch season I'll be free for 30 days. Been looking forward to it for a while. If anyone would like to pencil in a little weekday fishing on the USS ReelFun I'd be more than happy to share all I know. It won't take long.

It just so happens I'm off those same days. If you'd like to go to some areas you've never been before, be glad to take you if I know the areas. Big yellow perch come into North River during that time.
