    Default harrison lake

Went out to Chas City County today and wet my line at Harrison Lake. Only landed a pickerel but he put up a good fight and tried to lose me under the dock. Pulled him up and darn if he wasn't the slimiest little rascal I've caught in a long time. The water was very high and the dam was flowing strong. Only had about 2 hrs to spend. Lost several jigs to timbers under docks but I figured that's where they'd be holin up since the water was cold. The bite may have been better later but alas I couldn't leave my other kid at preskool all afternoon since it lets out at 1230.
I was the only soul on the water there today so anyone needs a weekday place to yourself may I recommend it. Would've like to have caught more but there's always next time. I was really there to try out the new Sufix Elite I put on my reels. Nice stuff and very stout. I didn't retie after wrestling mr. toothy and the lure held till I decorated a dock with it!

At least you got out. I like the suffix and use it to troll and for bobber aplication's. It'll treat you well if you change it when it gets rough.

I sure would of rather fished today than drive the 360 miles I did to get home from New Jersey. I'm always envious of you guys that can fish weekdays.

I agree as well. You couldn't pay me enough to live up there. I was just west of NY city, way too many people for me.
