Yes. Got the last of the corn out last week. I have been planting wheat, got about 60 acres in. My friend is working on the combine-switched headers and needs a cpl new bearings. He is going to start on soybeans soon as its dry enough. Has rained here just often enough to work out good for me-I am able to take care of my horseshoeing, but know it sucks for him not getting in the field every day. He bought a no-till drill last year, man is that the ticket. I
miss choppin stalks & discing but would sure want one if I were farming.
I bought a bull calf from him last week and castrated it. Going to raise it with his cow/calf op to slaughter and put up some hand-raised beef. I go by there often going to VA Hosp & shoeing so can stop by and put some good ground feed in him once in awhile.
You got the cotton out yet? Field of cotton across the road from cornfield we were working on last week. They just got done. Dream field, must be all
of 250-300 acres with nothing breaking it up and 1/2 mile rows.
Take care man. Hope you are hookin up the Crappiepicker soon. Looks like in order to go fishin I'm gonna have to have my 5th grandma of the year pass away, and 3rd since Labor Day. They just don't make em like they used to.
