.........but catering your champagne & caviar for the Bash unexpectedly set me way back financially and when I saw the article about turning old jeans into cash I broke down and bought a copy.

Default Im gonna tack this on here instead of make new thread

Ever used instant potato flakes to bread your crappie? Dip fillets in flour, egg wash, & then potato flakes. Toss in hot oil. Can put onion, garlic powder, whatever in with flour to make seasoned breading.

I have done it just like you said and love it. It's been a while though thanks for reminding me. I like the onions and chives one myself.

Well, that's a pretty good magazine article ya posted there Jeffro, my wife has subscribed to it for at least 40 years.
We actually had some tonight, Mexi style, fried in peanut oil, fresh tortillas, cilantro, some onion, a bit of shredded cabbage, some refried pintos, diced tomatoes and some wonderfully diced sorranos. We put them together as Fish Tacos, just like Baja or Mainland, with squeezed lime juice.
I liked your idea with the potato flakes, but I dearly love mexi style. Charlie sends his regards and and adds that he hopes to catch a few more for public viewing. I'm about to make a batch of Carolina Styled Summer Sausage, put your order in early........ Perry
