i headed out last night for a little bit to get bent. when I got to the pond I cast and immediately found myself wrestling a LMB in front of this concrete wall which it swam up against and managed to get the hook out from (this same fish has broken me off twice there before!). So i cast back out to the same spot and I get a definite thump. This time it's a 12 inch slab with a bit of fight BUT I managed to wrangle him in a get a photo. The scale said 1# but I think he was a fat 3/4#er. This morning I went back to get more slabs but caught 2 small gills, 4 YOY LMB and on my last cast of the day FINALLY got the big'un in that had broken off 3 times prior. This LMB was 2# on the BPS scale and fought a good deal before I finally lipped hinm in. Here's the pix for those inclined to see and believe. I was using my Avocet combo and watermelon/chrt. slider on a bullet jig head and 6# spiderwire mono.

not sure if I'm out per se but as long as certain mouths stay tight lipped over this topic all should be well:D . She knew I was going this A.M. b/c I have preschool music to teach tomorrow morning and hard labor Sat. At least I'll get paid for the labor (post installation for a neighbor).![]()

Good pics DaddyO. Have you explained to your beloved one that those are HER kids you're raising? You didn't have em. I don't wanna get involved but Crex raised this point when we was fishin the uther day.
Ok seriously, those are good pics and a good report too. It is nice to see and hear about how hands-on your kids are raised. Even if it no doubt makes for
a little friction at times you & the missus should never lose sight of the fact that you are fortunate enough to swing it when it just isnt possible or practical for alot of folks to do so.
