Welcome to Crappie.com. Always glad to see new people signing up. I can't help you with the drop shot rig but it seems like I seen some threads on the main forum about them. In fact, if you do an advanced search on "drop shot" you will find a bunch of them. Hope that helps.

Hi Rex and welcome. Don't know about the dropshotting IBNFSHN had some good advice. I live close to Diascund and know it fairly well. If I can be of any help holler. I have some good NASA photos of it taken several years ago
when there was drought and and it was down 13 ft.

Welcome! That IS a pretty cool screen name. I've always wondered about that lake but never fished it. Over at the 4-H side it looks pretty shallow.
Good luck with your fishing and keep giving us reports.- Brad Baker

welcome, dropshoting is just a jig 18 inches above a dropshot weight.you keep the line tight and drag the weight on the bottom while you reel it in,same as doing it with bass fishing.
