We were on Butchers and Panhandle from 7:30 this morning till 3:30 this afternoon. Didn't see you Dave, only members of that Bass Club that put in at Rudds. We caught 80 to 90 fish all on minnows. Tried dressing a jig with a minnow but nothing doing. We only had caught 26 fish by 12:30. Very slow. Went back to some bush we had fished in the morning 17' and fished 12' and 10'. The fish turn on. Fished till 3:30 and left them still biting. We were out of minnows. Biggest fish just at 1lb. Only had 12 in the live well when we counted them. I had plan to fish upper Rudds this afternoon if the temps would have been up and the sun out. It was 52 degrees (air temp) when we put in. About 10:00 this morning when we would talk to could see your breath just like you see the Packer Fans on the TV. When we pulled out it was 58 degrees. Never saw my breath before at 50 degrees.![]()

Thanks Jeff. Could have brought you all the "dinks" you would want for that fish fry but didn't feel like "gutting them and plucking out their eye balls" after spending all day fighting the wind.![]()

At least you caught some fish. I know what you mean about that wind, it can flat wear you out.Originally Posted by Andy Clayton

Bill we did notice that when the wind blew while we were on the bush where they were biting they would slow down. When the wind let up some the bite would pick up. Oh yes!!! It was too dark when we went up to see but on the way home "the cows were "all" standing when ever we passed by a herd. I'm a firm beliver of that.

Sorry to so ignorant, but are you supposed to fish when the cows are standing up or laying downOriginally Posted by Andy Clayton
And could that be cancelled out if the dogwoods were blooming?
I can't even begin to imagine what would happen if all that was going on and then you saw a hog carrying a stick in his mouth:D
Father of 4 time bash winner. At least I'm pretty sure
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If the dogwoods are blooming, the cows are standing up, and you see a hog carrying a stick in it's mouth, don't take a snack 'cause you won't have time to eat it. "course if you pass a church with a graveyard on the way to the lake all those omens are cancelled.:DOriginally Posted by squirrel hunter
It's the ladder I walk under and the black cat I scare away to get to my boat I worry about.
NEED MORE COWBELL!!

WHIZKIDS could be right I guess I pass a bunch of them there Churchs with grave yards on the way up to the lake in the 2 hour drive but if them there cows are laying down in the morning they do have a direct line to the Pope (if you know what I mean). You might as well turn around and go back home cause you aren't going to catch any fish. (Unless your fishing with FishDoc or Dave). Squirrle Hunter if I'd see a Hog with a stick in his mouth I think I would shoot him for thinking he was a dog. Haven't hear of that one.
