Thread: I Told Her She Was A Liar For Sure

For over 13 yrs the little lady kept telling me how she had already outfished
me at the ripe old age of 8. That she had caught a 9lb 10 oz gr carp on a cane pole when pulling a bluegill out of the pond behind the house she grew up in in Williamsburg. Being the macho man I am and not dreaming such a thing as a sissy girl outfishing me could happen, I laughed, sneered, and asked where was there any kind of evidence other than a tall tale.
Oh oh. She dug around in the wrong box of wayward family pictures.

I put a firetiger pattern Shad Rap SR7 on her line 1 yr back in TX, thinking it was by far the ugliest crankbait a person could pull trolling up white bass. When she had caught so many fish that the paint was gone she calmly informed me to call BPS and get 4 more shipped Overnight Express. I won that battle and showed her who's boss at the same time. I had em shipped Priority and it took 2-1/2 days to get there.:D Jeff

Well I guess yer kind of new here. Us Crappie fisherman call largemouth bass green carp. For one reason or another. It's in the sunfish family so I don't know why exactly. :D

well he!! - i woulda never thought that !! i grew up in indiana and all i ever fished for was crappie, but never heard that term before ! new one on me for sure !
