Finishing up a batch of topwater and shallow running wooden lures. Experimenting with different woods/densities. Some destined for saltwater. Some for striper/bass surface action at Branch. That's right, I said bass. Also finishing up new batch of bobbers.
Do gooder since April 26, 2009!
I'm finishing up spring break week with my sons today. Plan to go and get my season pass to Beaverdam in a bit. May take a rod and fish off the pier while I'm there. If my energy is high enough, I may try Beaverdam on Sunday. I'd love to be able to take a day trip to Buggs on Sunday but I just don't think I'll be up to it.

Went to the dump, the Bait shop, and then got my jon boat that I am keeping at a private lake prepped and tidy'd up a bit. I am going to take my son fishing there tomorrow afternoon for a couple of hours. I need to learn the lake but not sure how hard I will be able to fish with my son only being 7yrs old. I will probaly just keep it simple and spider rig four tellescoping poles with corks and minners. There is a lot of blowdowns around the bank so we may anchor and fish a few of them.

Good luck to ya Pphysher, your son will do just fine. It's great that you are sharing your passion with him. He will always remember that. Mike called us and asked us to go striper fishing, said a few were caught around Cape Henry yesterday, but think we are going to pass. I read on TF the big BF that Beth caught. That was great. Hope to see a good report from ya tomorrow!![]()
