Thread: When does Beaverdam crappie get good?

Want to take the kids there before it gets hot. When do the crappie turn on at Beaverdam?

I forget when we fished the bash there last year, but they seemed to be biting good then. And shallow. Plus we caught bass and perch. I'm sure the kids just want action. Was it April?

I think I remember Panman saying things usually pick up in mid March so should be any time now. May give it a try next week to check it out.

The report in the paper says the crappie fishing is picking up there. The end of March is the time to go and catch the bigger ones. My best days for numbers of crappie has been in May. Have had several days in may when I've caught over 100.

I may try and get out this Sunday if the weather is ok and I feel up to it. Will post a report if I go.

Ranger told me he just puts it on the end of the bunkers and then gets in the truck and goes 50mph then slams on the brakes.Works every time for him.:D

Beaverdam hab bery wong wamp. You just have to go in the water to line the boat up on the trailer before you pull it out.
