Thread: Another late chick afternoon. Oh C-Rex!

Rapp and I hit the Chick late this afternoon again. We started fishing about 3pm. A few nice fat crappie mixed in with the 1.2 billion gizzard shad. Today the guys fishing from the dock were the hot ones. Everyone was catching. Rapps first fish was a bull. He was fighting it and it was pulling like a 3 pound catfish. I laughed until I saw the fin. A big fatty crappie. About 13.5".



He did that too me few more times before I got to catch one. I did fill the throw net with gizzards a few times. So, by my count, I kicked his butt.



But the real story was not us. Saw a family out there. Mom, Dad and a cute kid.





And then it happened. Bubba with a Bubba.







Nice afternoon. Was a nice break from yelling at the kids.

Bubba called a few minutes ago. It weighed 1#12 oz.

WTG guys, those are some nice looking fish. How many did you catch? Also some real nice ringers you took pic's of. Glad to see you got into some.

Nice ones. I saw those two boats out there as I was leaving. For a second when I first saw the Tracker, I thought Bill was out there.

good job you two I seen when I crossed into southside went over there and bought my step daughter a go-cart and was looking into buying another race car....them dang shad done got thick in there,,,bait and the fish gotta go to the docks now

them Eagles are some awsome birds I am glad we see them as often as we do these days ....whoo daat in da tracker

those are some nice looking fish rap and 690. also those were nice perch as well. looks like eveybody had a grand time. did you fish with those shad?

Nice YP Bubba. Imagine loading the boat with that size? I fished a green carp tourney in Suffolk yesterday and was also treated to a couple of bald eagles. Great pics!
