    Default throw net

    Since there is no limit on perch white or yellow is it legal to catch them in a throw net? i know you have to throw all the crappie and bass etc. back.

    In general, it looks like DGIF regs (here

    ) permit it unless the body of water is posted otherwise. You'll be happy to see that the regs apply to bowfins the same way. :D

    dont be mad just because i thought of it first! the net never effects or affects the taste! just trying to figure out how to recoup my licensing fees.

    Got to fishnetco and order ya a 100, 200 or 300' gill net. Get the 1.5" mesh. Mono with leaded botton line and medium floating top line. License is $9. Have all you want.

    i saw the gill net license was only $9. just didnt know where to get one. thanks

    chesapeake bait and tackle sells them. along with the bouys and he will print you out your pemit. all right thier in the store.

    I grew up working trot lines in Bama for cats ...Mom's sold filets a dollar a pound at her country store .....want some help setting one up let me know I can make for crabbing too.....get ya a wire spool and some pvc pipe hanging over the side and let the boat do most the work:D:D
