    Default Slow at Diascund today

The ice is gone! After being frozen from shore to shore a couple days ago, I was surprised to find an ice-free lake this afternoon.

Water temp ranged from high 30s to just over 50 in a sunny cove.

Only half a dozen small specks and ringers for 3 hours on the water, but it was a nice afternoon & no ice!

I've only been there once, but it sure is a pretty lake. Trolling motor only I believe? Wouldn't mind going back, but I can't take my gas engines off the boats.

i sure bet it was nice to fish and not having to break ice. i'm sure the fish are thawing out and will be ready next trip.

You can still fish the lake. Many of us have done it. Just keep your gas motor out of the water.

You can one of two things...take your gas tank out of the boat your take your prop off the motor. Either way is sufficient.
