    Default Lake Cohoon

A friend and I fished today from 0800 - 1430. Ended the day with 14 crappie but only three keepers. Most of our fish were on the bottom in 21 feet in the channel, but we did get two suspended 12' feet over 22'. Hook and minnow caught all the fish. Had a couple bites on jigs but no hookups. Water temp was 40-42.

14 crappie on the Suffolk lakes is good here lately. Have you been issued your official crappie.com digital camera yet?

Santa brought me a camera for X-mas many years ago. I believe it lasted three trips before I dropped it in the lake. Funny, I've looked for another one under the tree but haven't found any. Maybe Santa doesn't trust me? I do have a disposable camera with film, but I save it until I've taken all the shots. Maybe it's time to invest in a new one.

For every 10 vertical stumps you see in meade there is 200 more, extrene low water in summer will give you a real perspective

That's because it's too shallow. I was all excited to try it myself but was majorly disappointed when I found out how shallow it was. Been a few years so I don't remember the depth just that is was a lot shallower than I had hoped. Now Burnt Mills, it has the same structure but is in water over 20' deep.
