Tim and I hit the river today, got there about 0830 and left at 1530. We ended up with three keeper crappie and seven yellow perch (including three citations - one weight/two length). We caught a lot of crappie, just not many keepers. Those fish were scattered again. The YP were from 7-9 ft. We also had some throwbacks. In all a good day but very windy. Boat control was fun. It's off to Suffolk tomorrow.
You sure do fish a lot and I'm as envious as I can be stuck only able to fish once a week. Good luck in Suffolk, I look forward to your report.

Congrats on those nice perch citations.![]()
"Fletch had a catch of a lifetime and he was even standing up when he caught it!"
Tap, I'm lucky enough right now to be on terminal/job hunting/house hunting leave after 24 years in the Navy. It won't last. I have to enjoy it while I can. BTW, Tim caught the citations. I was the lucky admirer. The two largest would have been early spawners. They were nearly as fat as a coke can. I caught a couple of the perch, but Tim put on the show today.
it's good to see some more south east guys joining the crappie . com group. why don't we have a challenge between the east and the west for a fun bash. no money just bragging rights. hope to see ya at the next bash in feb. tite lines JIM.B
