    Default LCR 15 1/2" Slab

Anchorman and I were on the lake before sunrise. Got rigger up and just put the lines in. I caught a nice keeper and bam!, Vic nails a 15"+ for his first fish of the day. Caught the slab on minnow in about 10' of water. Corker pull up just in time for a nice jaw dropper good morning. It was a flat calm with day little or no ripple on the water. Unlike last weekend the bite was not as good. As they say, you don't catch fish on those "blue bird days". Water temp continues to drop, was 50.5 this morning. Ended the day with 20-25 nice 11-12" fish. I must have caught a dozen snakes.
Mr. Vic has taken the lead at Adams for big crappie. WTG Vic.

That was a big pretty fish, AM, but don't waste your time planning how to spend the $250 prize money. I'm going to catch a bigger one before 2/15. :D

Excuse me, but I have already picked out a new rod and reel replacement with the prize money.

Yes you did,I'm grateful that you convinced me to fish for them, just took me a long time to get around to it. Sure is a good substitute for the striper not doing good. Going to locate the ring perch one day.
Don't know if I mentioned it but the grass in LCR is going to take over in a few years at the rate it spread this year. Every cove is full of it. If the water depth is less than 12 feet it has grass from bottom to surface. Maybe a good cold winter will kill it off.
